Personal Summary

I was born in Chicago, but raised in New Jersey (first 16 years) before returning to Illinois. I am the oldest daughter of 8 children and my father worked 3 jobs and I learned early that “money does not grow on trees”, or so my mother said. I took my first “paying” job at age 11 (paper route) and worked up until my retirement. I put myself through college (B.A. Economics – Grinnell College) and even got my M.B.A. (Lake Forest Graduate School of Management) while working and raising my 2-year-old son. I’ve always created and lived within an annual budget and believe it’s important to live within your means.

Career Summary I started my career with Arthur Andersen (Chicago) in 1978 in the Technical Services Organization. I developed financial software for small and medium sized businesses. Over my 30+ year career in Information Technology, I advanced through multiple disciplines ( from Software Developer, to Director, Program Management and Portfolio Management). My Corporate Experience included: Baxter Health Care, Quaker Oats Co., Amoco Corporation, CCC Information Services, CNA Insurance, The Bradford Exchange, Insurance Auto Auctions and The College of American Pathologists. I managed multimillion-dollar budgets for both Maintenance and Capital Improvement projects and created the first Program/Portfolio Management Office for CAP to evaluate projects based on cost/benefit analysis, force rank the projects; fund the projects, and monitor project status through completion.

“Every person can make a difference, and every person should try.” — John F Kennedy

I’m running for the Board to make a difference in our community! As a founding member of Residents for Responsible Spending, I reached out to residents and heard their issues and concerns. I will continue to be action-oriented, resident focused, and balanced in my support of all amenities; while striving for analysis of those cost-effective options that have the least financial impact to the residents. I wish to contribute the skills I acquired throughout my career; and my passion for volunteerism to assist HOA2 in the challenges we face now and in the future. My hope is that all current and future residents will be able to continue to live in Saddlebrooke HOA2 as long as they wish, without facing ever increasing financial demands on their resources. I seek to transform the Board into an Advisory role with limits on future Boards’ ability to secure significant loans or sign contracts for significant projects without the vote of our HOA2 membership.
